In India, security details are provided to some high-risk individuals by the police and local government. Depending on the threat perception to the person, the category is divided into six tiers: SPG Force, Z+, Z, Y+, Y, and X.

The Indian Special Protection Group (SPG) provides proximate security to the Prime Minister of India and members of their immediate families anywhere in the world. While the actual strength is classified, anywhere above 3000 personnel might be in this unit. Taxpayers pay 1.62 crores per day for this security.

Z+ is the highest category security in India. It offers a security cover of 55 personnel, including 10+ NSG Commandos + Police Personnel. Each commando is an expert in martial arts and unarmed combat and is equipped with sophisticated MP5 guns and modern communication gadgets. Only 12-17 VIPs in the country are provided with Z+ security. Mukesh Ambani pays for his own Z+ security and it costs him 15-16 lakhs per month. The Gandhis, Yogi Adityanath, and some other VVIPs get this security.

The Z category has a security cover of 22 personnel including 4 or 5 NSG commandos and police personnel, along with one escort car. Z security is provided to Yoga Guru Ramdev and few other actors.

Y+ security is recently in the news as Kangana Ranaut has received the protection. 11 to 22 personnel security personnel will be guarding her. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will be responsible for providing security to Kangana.

Y security is not very different from Y+. It has 11 personnel. Y has one gunman for mobile security while Y+ has two for mobile security.

X is the lowest level of security cover, having 2 armed police only and no commandos.

Work-life balance is a concept including proper prioritizing between “work” and “lifestyle” .
Work-life balance is when your mental, emotional and physical resources are equal to the demands placed upon you, both personal goals and obligations stemming from the responsibility you own yourself, your family and your community.
Work-related stress has become a leading contributor to a myriad of physical health problem ranging from high blood pressure to auto-immune disorder. By keeping your stress levels to a minimum and prioritizing self-care, a balanced life may be the single most important lifestyle change you can make in achieving improved health.

WORK-LIFE BALANCE AS AN EQUATION:
Mental resources + emotional resources + physical resources = achieving your personal goal & fulfilling your responsibilities.

ROOT CAUSES OF WORK LIFE IMBALANCE:
Most people who suffer from working-life imbalance tend to assume the problem is one of time. They often lament, “If only there were more hours in the days!” But while we don’t have control over the passage of time, we do have control over what we do during it. If you feel that you don’t have enough time to achieve your goals and fulfill your responsibilities, then you may need to find additional resources to deal with them.

SOLUTIONS:
Recognize the role of work.
Develop one calendar for work and family. Create a daily routine.
Learn to breathe.
Make time for yourself.
Be present, consistent and accountable Exercise and meditate

A SMALL STORY:
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him, ”Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?” The crow answered: “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.
A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up

CONCLUSION:
Working evening hours can put stress on your family life and relationships, knowing how to cope with the challenges is the key. Through communicating, dealing with problem early and prioritizing socializing and recreation, shift work will have a smaller impact on your life.

Bureaucrat

Kautilya (also known as Chanakya, 350-275 BCE), a pioneer in Diplomacy and Government Administration, Professor of Political Science and Economics in University of Taxila, an Indian Statesman and Philosopher, Chief Advisor and Prime Minister of the Indian Emperor Chandragupta, the first ruler of the Mauryan Empire. A man behind the science of politics - “Arthashastra”.

The Arthashastra gives information about specific topics that are relevant for rulers who wish to run an effective government. Diplomacy and war (including military tactics) are the two points treated in most detail but the work also includes recommendations on law, prisons, taxation, irrigation, agriculture, mining, fortifications, coinage, manufacturing, trade, administrations, diplomacy, and spies.

At the time of Kautilya, India was mostly composed of a number of small independent states, with the exception of the Magadha kingdom, a realm that controlled most of Northern India, which was ruled by the Nanda dynasty. The fame of Kautilya is owed to the important role he played in the fall of the Magadha kingdom and the rise to power of the Mauryan dynasty. In order to accomplish this, he became an ally and loyal servant of Chandragupta, a noble member of the Kshatriya caste, who was related to the Nanda family, but he was an exile. Before he became Chandragupta’s ally, Kautilya was introduced to the Nanda king, who insulted him. Kautilya untied his sikha (lock of hair on male Hindus), and swore he would only tie it back once the Nanda dynasty was destroyed.

Kautilya and Chandragupta raised a small army that lacked sufficient military strength to take the Magadha throne directly. Therefore, Kautilya’s strategies became useful: Chandragupta entered the capital of the Magadha kingdom, Pataliputra, where he triggered a civil war using Kautilya Chanakya’s intelligence network. In 322 BCE Chandragupta finally seized the throne putting an end to the Nanda dynasty and he established the Mauryan dynasty which would rule India until 185 BCE. After this victory, Chandragupta fought and defeated the generals of Alexander the Great located in Gandhara, present day Afghanistan. Following these successful campaigns, Chandragupta was seen as a brave leader who defeated part of the Greek invaders and ended the corrupt Nanda government and thus gained wide public support. Kautilya’s political vision had a heavy influence on Chandragupta, the first Indian ruler who unified Northern India under a single political unit for the first time in history. Even today, the Arthashastra is the number one classic of diplomacy in India and, within this category, it is one of the most complete works of antiquity. A number of institutions in India such as universities and diplomatic offices have been named after Kautilya in honour of his work.

GST is one indirect tax for the whole nation, which will make India one unified com¬mon market.
GST is the single tax in the supply of goods and services , right from the manufactur¬er to the consumers. Credits of the input taxes paid at each stage will be available in the subsequent stage of value addition, which means GST essentially a tax only on value addition at each stage. The final consumer will thus bear only the GST charged by the last dealer in the supply chain, with set-off benefit at all the previous stages.
OBJECTIVES OF GST:
Ensuring availability of input credit across the value chain.
Minimising cascading effect of taxation.
Simplification of tax administration and compliance.
Harmonisation of tax based laws and administration procedures across the country.
Increasing the tax base and raising compliance.
Prevention of unhealthy competition among states.
BENEFITS OF GST :
Easy compliance.
Uniformity of tax rates and structures.
Removal of cascading.
Improved competition.
Gain to manufacturers and exporters.

At the central level the following taxes are being subsumed :
Central excise duty
Additional excise duty.
Service tax
Additional custom duty commonly known as countervailing duty
Special additional duty of customs.

At the state level the following taxes are being subsumed :
> Subsuming of the state value added tax/ sales tax.
> Entertainment tax (other than the tax levied by the local bodies), central sales tax (levied by the centre and collected by the states).
> Octroi and entry tax.
> Purchase tax.
> Luxury tax
> Taxes on lottery, betting and gambling.

GST would be administered in India, The federal structure of India , there will be two components of GST - Central GST and State GST. Both will simultaneously levy GST across the value chain. Tax will be levied on every supply of goods and ser¬vices. Centre would levy and collect the state goods and service tax on all transac¬tions within a state. The input tax credit of CGST would be available for discharging the CGST liability on the output at each stage.
Similarly the credit of CGST paid on input would be allowed for paying the SGST on output. No cross utilization of credit would be levied simultaneously. On every trans¬action of supply of goods and services except on exempted goods and services goods which are outside the preview of GST and the transaction which are below the prescribed threshold limits. Further, both would be levied on the same price or value unlike state VAT which is levied on the value of the goods inclusive of central Ex¬cise.

WhatsApp End-to-End Encryption:
Good news for the world's 1 billion WhatsApp users The company has started rolling out end to end encryption which will reportedly be the default setting for all chats. The update comes at a time when governments are attempting to force tech companies, such as Apple to hack their own systems to provide information on terrorist attacks and networks etc. WhatsApp's users now know that their chats, group chats, attachments, voice notes, and voice calls are private.

For the encryption WhatApp uses Whisper Systems' "Signal Protocol" which is an open source private messaging system supported by NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden. The encryption will work on all Android, iPhone, Windows mobile decides, plus some Nokia and BlackBerry models.

The security is so comprehensive that users can see the content that has been sent to them, but service providers, including WhatsApp are unable to access message content.
Users will be automatically upgraded to the new version of WhatsApp via a server upgrade.

Scientists have identified a switch that triggers the 'power kick' that sperms use to fertilize a human egg. Thus, they seem to have uncovered a source of male infertility & a target for unisex contraceptives. Progesterone stimulates the switch which is essentially a protein receptor. Scores of these switches are found on the surface of a sperm's tail & when the sperm gets close to the egg, the hormone activates the receptor. This causes the tail to snap and provides the thrust or powering the sperm through the cells protecting the egg. Basically a person is infertile if the switch doesn't recognize progesterone. So a drug that inactivates the receptor would prove to be a good contraceptive. One that could be used by either sexual partner.
Researchers observed the behaviour of the sperm's tail after sticking electrodes. This led to discovery of the progesterone activated receptor now called CatSper.

Researchers at Johns Hopkins University (JHU), led by Matthew D. Green, have found a bug in Apple’s encryption. It can allow a skilled attacker to decrypt secure photos and videos sent as message. The flaw might not have been used by the FBI🔎 to recover information on the San Bernardino terrorist’s iPhone, but it proves that encryption isn’t fool proof. Green is a cryptographer and said that a court compelling Apple to undo its own security makes no sense as there are already bugs which can be exploited. He said, “Even Apple, with all their skills — and they have terrific cryptographers — wasn’t able to quite get this right.” Green’s team of graduate students will publish a paper describing the bug as soon as Apple issues a patch for it. Green said that it’s frightening that “we’re having this conversation about adding back doors to encryption when we can’t even get basic encryption right.”

Money makes the world go round. A cheeky line to start what’s gonna come ahead. Many of the people really wonder. WHAT IS MANAGEMENT? HOW MANAGEMENT WORKS? WHY MANAGEMENT? IS MANAGEMENT BORING? WHAT WILL I GAIN IN IT? These are the questions which are often put towards the face of organizational management. Since management plays a vital role in modern world. It brings (or) sparks interest in the young minds. Management is an interesting field where it is capable of practising (or) combining ART, SCIENCE and CRAFT meets a point of new interception of individual skill development. It clearly depends upon Innovation, Imagination and Creativity is main building blocks in the aspect of good management.

According to my point of perspective towards management is a tricky and brilliant way of dealing with things (or) people with sportive attitude. Where interpersonal skills are applied interims of minds are used inventory and improvement of business and organization. It invokes creating and implementation of new ideas for the better enhancement of management ethics. But for every relevant manner the management deals with ART and SCIENCE of 40:60 ratio with balancing amount (or) exchange of blows and trades.

One of the biggest optimising aspecting facts in management is that it is capable of adapting to any persons unique style and in under any circumstances this valuable point can be HARNESSED. Management has a brighter side in the competitive marketing field by where your skills are put to the test by attracting consumers and by increasing in the quality, production of supply and demand according to the environmental requirement. Trading markets is the CROWN JEWEL of modern management.

Many theory’s regarding management where proposed by philosopher’s with respect to their research and development on their view of improving management. Their theory’s where put to the test and their analysis on management has brought many changes and shows how management truly operates and the nature of the management is an independent medium to the will of the user .not every course grants this kind of freedom for the users.

Management sparks an interest by comforting the basic requirements of an individual person by the means of bringing them into the comfort zone and satisfying (or) fulfilment of their demands. But its basing is more intriguing than that of the requirements .it mainly focuses on the challenging nature and finds a new possibility for solving problems. Which it satisfies the saying “LIFE IS EITHER A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING AT ALL”. With the art of risk taking skill is developed as an assurance as a safety and calculative measure of decision making “it’s better to be safe than sorry”.

Another popular question frequently asked in by many professionals WHY MANAGEMENT AFTER ENGINEERING/B.COM/B.SC/VISCOM…..?.answer to it lies in each personal  reasons for shifting of domains where for  every set of questions answer lies in the question .as particular management is flexible in nature and can support any type of field you may be good in core  knowledge but what’s the point in having it if you don’t know to applying  it in a planned manner (or) a more effect way of bringing outcomes   with notable performance change .imagine this engineering +management can bring a new term of management with a balance  of technical and logical intellectual thinking and applying for innovative ways of improvising the economy standards. Or simply to put what engineers know management students are not fond of similarly what managing candidate know engineers have a blind knowledge about it. On the contrary side of view engineering+management have better means of field advantages. This answer follows for every degree graduates for viscom/b.com/b.sc.viscom can create attractive advertising, remodelling, resynthesise and many more b.com /b.sc can have better means of solutions in problem solving.

With enough amount of competitive management can bring lot of difference in the daily basis of life it gives benefits in time management, strategically thinking and good judgment apart from these skills it will bring out once full potential in front of the world. To bring an enticing flame in the field of management love what you do .then success will be at your finger tips. when success comes money aren't a big deal.

We just have discussed about the fascinating nature of management. its just the tip of the ice berg. The management has another face of managing by means of specialization and types. just to make it sure .specialization and types of management are two different things.
The most popular specialization in management are
1) Management in finance
2) Management in human resource
3) Management in logistics and operations
4) Management in sales and marketing
5) Management in information and technology (IT)
6) Management in rent
Each specialization has a fair share of pros and cons but differences apart each specialization follows unique style.

MBA IN LOGISTICS AND OPERATIONS:
It follows new type of supply chain. This will teach you how to drive back-end efficiency. In this past few years there is a particular growth in the field of manufacturing industry. If your core knowledge is strong would recommend you to prefer this course
*it mainly focuses on identifying, developing interpreting for practice and innovative approach in manufacturing and supply chain management.

MBA IN FINANCE:
Specialization in financial has its focus on management accounting and control, the money market, banking and international finance. It tell us about the various aspects of financial theories, identification of best managerial practices in area and global practice of applications. It is a popular specialization growth prospect in the field is immense.
Careers in banks, financial consultancies and financial institutions. It also deals with consumer and investment banking institutional finance, merchant banking, corporate financing and international finance.
According to the survey in 2015 most of the youngsters prefer for financial and HR management due to the compatibility and flexibility in the field of management.

Every field of management have fair share of strength and vulnerability. But “ONE MAN’S TRASH IS ANOTHER MAN’S TREASURE “so choose you’re treasure wisely……management could be lot of fun if you allow it to be.

Start up India

START-UP INDIA
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ambitious "START-UP INDIA" movement to boost digital entrepreneurship at the grass root level. He spelt out the various salient features of the action plan that was unveiled at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

What is start up?
Early stage in the life cycle of an enterprise where the entrepreneur moves from the idea stage to securing financing ,laying down the basis structure of the business, and initiating operations or trading.

Top ten take away's from PM's speech that cheered the start up in the arena.
1. Tax exemption for start-ups for three years.
2 .Rs.10,000 crore corpus fund to support start-ups.
3. Capital gains tax to be exempted for venture capital investments.
4. 80% reduction in patent registration fee.
5. Government to ensure 90 day window for start-ups to close businesses.
6. Self-certification compliance for start-ups across India.
7. No government inspection for three years for newly formed start-ups
8. New scheme to provide IPR protection to start-ups and new firms.
9. Innovation program to start 5 lakh schools to target 10 lakh children.
10. Government is all set to launch an app to create a platform for interaction with start-ups.

India's economic and reform performance in 2015 has disappointed many. Despite outperforming its BRICS compatriots by being the fastest growing economy in 2015 at 7.5 percent, its 'bright spot' status does not leave room for complacence in 2016.Domestic private investment saw a dip in 2015 and the recent 'Mid-year Economic Analysis' confirm this.
The cause of this stall in private investment is driven by corporate India's complex confusion of over-expansion, debt default and risk aversion in an unfavorable investment environment, and important bills being stalled in parliament.

No economy like ours can grow without domestic private investment. Recovery is possible in 2016 if stalled private corporate investment can be restarted, to add to growth in public investment and private consumption. Start-up India will fill this vacuum as start¬ups and entrepreneurs are a way to create alternate private investment models. Start-up India can potentially be the catalyst to restart private investment flows into the economy. India, today is a hotbed for entrepreneurial activity because of the abundance of new ideas and the opportunities that these offers.
In a survey conducted by local circles, 14 percent of those polled reported that registration and taxation was found to be a serious challenge in starting up. Start-up India should address this complexity and incentives corporate spending into new ventures through fiscal interventions. Providing tax incentives when corporates invest in start-up businesses is an important step. The government's recent announcement to waive the 'seed-funding' tax imposed by the finance act, 2013 if domestic angel investors invest in start-ups, is a positive move. Start-up India should include a comprehensive set of policies for entry and exit of private investment. The implementation of GST legislation will play an important role for start-ups and entrepreneurs, as they can access the large Indian market as one open market without the complex requirements for inter-state trade that makes it difficult for small business.

The corporate insolvency legislation, in particular, is pivotal given the fact that a majority of start-ups fail, marking capital recovery a real worry among investors. Under the current insolvency systems in India, as per the World Bank report, the recovery rate for secured creditors from insolvency proceeding stands at 25.7 cents on the dollar-compared to the 72.3 cents in OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) countries. The bankruptcy code proposes to have the corporate insolvency procedure resolved within a period of 180 days, with a fast track 90 day resolution process. It also makes provision for priority among creditors, giving the private investor a real chance at recovering the investment. Start-up India needs this policy for its success.
The last decade have seen a number of new Indian corporates get created on the back of private capital. We are now presented with a similar scenario where new and disruptive technologies, along with private capital, can change the business landscape, where a few intellectuals have monopolized the country's discourse on technology, economy and held growth hostage. Start-up India can bring thousands of entrepreneurs from across India into this discourse and drive the growth of a transformed and diversified economy and do so sustainably.

entrepreneurship

In today's flat economy where information is the new money, the access to the means and the resources to fortify and strengthen our ideas is readily available. In the ancient era business was a dream for a common man, it was believed that business can only pass through generations i.e from their father's and grandfather's. But now things are taking a big turn. There has never been a more apt time for ideas to slide into action so quickly . The education, the confidence, the access to internet, foreign investments and the government has been a great boon in supporting the common man to become an entrepreneur. This has given the aam aadmi the confidence to chase a thought without being bogged down by the possibility of meeting with failure despite putting in hard work. Now, Modi's "Make in India "campaign encourage muti-national, as well as domestic companies to manufacture their products in India.

The initiative hopes to attract capital and technological investment in India. In a society evolving in the art of self awareness, we have started asking the right kind of questions to ourselves. The increasing ineptitude of the Goliath firms to churn out quality work that lives up to the speed and hunger of the today's graduates who are extremely ready for taking risks and with the immense flow of new and creative ideas to attract the market with their own zeel and the failure in challenging the potential of their workforce is a great driving force for youngsters to detach themselves with anything that doesn't add value or meaning to their lives and instead go in pursuit of things that do. After all who would not like to be their own boss? Thus, the advent and colonization of the quick and nimble, self-starting epoch of entrepreneurship.

“ It is a pity and a major embarrassment  that a country once housed the great ancient Nalanda University  where students from around the globe pursued their education in this same country is reduced to a standard where even after finishing his UG (UNDER GRADUATE) and POSTGRADUATE(PG) COURSES feels insecure about his career and his job opportunities in the ever changing globalised world.”

I happened to see many advertisements these days on newspapers, tv ,websites etc and almost all forms of electronic and digital media endorsing their own brand of education by having celebrities ranging from high profile yester year actors to people who emote on the small screen tv serials being their brand ambassadors and endorsing the particular xy hotel management and xy engineering colleges and what is the need for all these are the students joining film institutes or professional courses .

Rather than these False advertisements with over exaggerated data of 100% placements and their alumni earning in crore’s and lakhs. Say “WHY NOT CREATE NOTABLE ALUMNI AND BOAST THAT THE CONCERNED PERSON DID GRADUATE FROM OUR COLLEGE ”.Many reputed educational institutions around the globe grew due to their alumni, for example from the old oxford university to Massachusetts institute of technology and not due to a famous brand ambassador from the filmy world endorsing the college institution. Who are they trying to fool .the future generation of this country and the next global citizens of The Mother Earth.

What is the message being sent to aspirants of these courses , luckily there are ranking based system released by anna university were one college’s academic performance ,infrastructure, sports and their placement record determines thestandard of the college were one could make a choice .

This ranking based system happened due to societal pressure and parent teacher organizations taking the issue to the courts to ask the Anna University to take necessary action for the students to decide the college based on its educational reputation and taking into account  the current standards of the institution and hence the ranking system happened . hurrah the courts still has a certain power to take notice and act against  the powerful vvip chairman’s of educational institutions and this happened a long time ago.

The students after having mugging and by-hearting for the past twelve years of their schooling .would have finally asked for a change of better education that would increase their skill level and make them have a career with a optimistic prosperous  future. BUT……………

Barring a few private colleges and the IIT’s there is no research and also there is no skill development in the course offered .even in IIT’S the innovation has translated to business corporation only in E-COMMERCE AND START –UPS .(FOR EXAMPLE FLIPKART founded by two iit students)what about the other sectors there is no innovation taking place, and for other colleges it is just a mere extension of the state board syllabus oriented education system were one reproduces what it as such in the books.”NO RESEARCH NO INNOVATION “ .

Hence we just either manufacture products according to specification of the mnc’s (multi national corporation) employers who employ us for their creative work and utilize our human and natural resources of our country , for their factory production and earn bulk profits and don’t pay taxes ,if asked to pay  runaway with the money earned to their respective company head quartered country and finally say that we will fight it legally in the higher courts of our country  . Dumping their employees as such creating a hopeless future for their employees.

What is the reason behind this low confidence level of a student or a future graduate  there is no emphasis on skill development or upgrading his knowledge with the current world standards. A particular skill that he/she would feel secure even in the bearish economic situation and attain a prosperous economic growth in the event of a bullish trend were there is a boom in the particular sector that one is employed .for example in automobile manufacturing sector were there is sudden increased demand of more cars and its spare parts. The big firms (Hyundai, Ford, Suzuki) benefit but it not only ends with that there is increased demand of skilled labor and it also benefits the small scale and medium scale industries who manufacture the parts and components required for these firms. many graduates can do more than the BPO’s and IT SECTOR based jobs they are working in INDIA

FIRST FORGET ABOUT INNOVATION FIRST THINK ABOUT IMPLEMENTING SKILL BASED EDUCATION IN THE SECOND TIER AND THIRD TIER COLLEGES IN OUR COUNTRY …………FOR INDIA TO HAVE  SKILLED GRADUATES .

(the above mentioned are my personal views )
                                                                                                                                -S.BK.BALAJI

In Recent days Anonymous Hacktivists are hacking several accounts.they trending in world wide nowadays recent news is they are targeting the ISIS members is going on hotspot. in there Website they mention there post about their attacks as follow are given below

Anonymous has just struck a massive blow against ISIS recruiting efforts. Hacktivists recently took control of dozens of Twitter and Facebook accounts that had been openly used by ISIS to expand their influence and recruit new members.

The above video explains the attack was coordinated by “Muslims, Christians, Jews” alike. They are “hackers, crackers, Hacktivist, phishers, agents, spies, or just the guy next door… students, administrators, workers, clerks, unemployed, rich, poor.” They are also “young, or old, gay or straight… from all races, countries, religions, and ethnicity. United as one, divided by zero.”

An important point made by the video is that “the terrorists that are calling themselves [the] Islamic State (ISIS) are not Muslims.” Anonymous further directs a threat to ISIS itself:

We will hunt you, take down your sites, accounts, emails, and expose you…
From now on, no safe place for you online…
You will be treated like a virus, and we are the cure…
We own the internet…
We are Anonymous; we are Legion; we do not forgive, we do not forget, Expect us.

In yet another case of mass blocking of websites, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has issued an order to block as many as 32 websites including popular sites such as SourceForge, DailyMotion, GitHub, Pastebin and so on. The DoT has issued the order under section 69A of the Information Technology(IT) act, 2000 and the IT act Rules, 2009.

The Section 69A of the IT Act, 2000 states “Power to issue directions for blocking for public access of any information through any computer resource”. Based on the DoT directive internet service providers have blocked access to 32 websites.

While security concern is a valid point, the idea of blocking particular objectionable URL’s (that is again, debatable as ‘objectionable’ is quite a vague term) rather than entire websites seems a bit odd. And we have, in the past, seen websites as well as torrent sites being blocked based on John Doe orders.

In the current batch of blocked websites we have Vimeo and DailyMotion- which are YouTube like video sharing websites; GitHub is a forum where software developers host and share programming code and so on.

The List Follows

reCAPTCHA protects the websites you love from spam and abuse. So, when you go online—say, for some last-minute holiday shopping—you won't be competing with robots and abusive scripts to access sites. For years, we’ve prompted users to confirm they aren’t robots by asking them to read distorted text and type it into a box, like this:
But, we figured it would be easier to just directly ask our users whether or not they are robots—so, we did! We’ve begun rolling out a new API that radically simplifies the reCAPTCHA experience. We’re calling it the “No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA” and this is how it looks:
On websites using this new API, a significant number of users will be able to securely and easily verify they’re human without actually having to solve a CAPTCHA. Instead, with just a single click, they’ll confirm they are not a robot.
A brief history of CAPTCHAs

While the new reCAPTCHA API may sound simple, there is a high degree of sophistication behind that modest checkbox. CAPTCHAs have long relied on the inability of robots to solve distorted text. However, our research recently showed that today’s Artificial Intelligence technology can solve even the most difficult variant of distorted text at 99.8% accuracy. Thus distorted text, on its own, is no longer a dependable test.

To counter this, last year we developed an Advanced Risk Analysis backend for reCAPTCHA that actively considers a user’s entire engagement with the CAPTCHA—before, during, and after—to determine whether that user is a human. This enables us to rely less on typing distorted text and, in turn, offer a better experience for users.  We talked about this in our Valentine’s Day post earlier this year.

The new API is the next step in this steady evolution. Now, humans can just check the box and in most cases, they’re through the challenge.

Are you sure you’re not a robot?

However, CAPTCHAs aren't going away just yet. In cases when the risk analysis engine can't confidently predict whether a user is a human or an abusive agent, it will prompt a CAPTCHA to elicit more cues, increasing the number of security checkpoints to confirm the user is valid.
Making reCAPTCHAs mobile-friendly

This new API also lets us experiment with new types of challenges that are easier for us humans to use, particularly on mobile devices. In the example below, you can see a CAPTCHA based on a classic Computer Vision problem of image labeling. In this version of the CAPTCHA challenge, you’re asked to select all of the images that correspond with the clue. It's much easier to tap photos of cats or turkeys than to tediously type a line of distorted text on your phone.
Adopting the new API on your site

As more websites adopt the new API, more people will see "No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHAs".  Early adopters, like SnapchatWordPressHumble Bundle, and several others are already seeing great results with this new API. For example, in the last week, more than 60% of WordPress’ traffic and more than 80% of Humble Bundle’s traffic on reCAPTCHA encountered the No CAPTCHA experience—users got to these sites faster. To adopt the new reCAPTCHA for your website, visit our site to learn more.

Humans, we'll continue our work to keep the Internet safe and easy to use. Abusive bots and scripts, it’ll only get worse—sorry we’re (still) not sorry.

Possibly India’s best known face against child labour, Kailash Satyarthi shares this year’s Nobel Peace Prize with Pakistani child rights activist Malala. Here’s all you need to know about him. Source: Yahoo News.

#1 A human rights activist, Kailash Satyarthi has been at the forefront of a movement in India to end child slavery and exploitative child labour since 1980. Satyarthi has helped free children from slave-labor conditions and advocated for reforms, as director of the South Asia Coalition on Child Servitude and leader of Bachpan Bachao Andolan. In 1994, he founded a group now known as Goodweave, which certifies child-labor-free rugs and provides assistance to rescued and at-risk children.

#2 Kailash Satyarthi has headed various forms of peaceful protests and demonstrations, focusing on the exploitation of children for financial gain.

#3 In 1980, Kailash Satyarthi gave up his job as an electrical engineer to begin the crusade to end exploitation of children in India. As a grassroots activist, he rescued of over 78,500 children who were employed as child labours and developed a successful model for their education and rehabilitation.

#4 He was instrumental in making the problem of child labour in India as a human rights issue. He has established that child labor is responsible for the perpetuation of poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, population explosion and many other social evils.

#5 Satyarthi has also played an important role in linking the fight against child labor with the efforts for achieving 'Education for All'.

#6 The Nobel Laureate is a member of a high level group formed by UNESCO on Education for all comprising of select Presidents, Prime Ministers and UN Agency Heads.

#7 Kailash Satyarthi has survived numerous attacks on his life during his crusade to end child labour, the most recent being the attack on him and his colleagues while rescuing child slaves from garment sweatshops in Delhi on 17 March 2011.

#8 In 2004 while rescuing children from a local circus mafia, Kailash Satyarthi and his colleagues were brutally attacked. Despite of these attacks and his office being ransacked a number of times his commitment for the cause has been unwavering.

#9 Satyarthi has been honoured by the Former US President Bill Clinton in Washington for featuring in Kerry Kennedy's Book ‘Speak Truth to Power', where his life and work featured among the top 50 human rights defenders in the world.

A nearly perfect replica of a two-week-old baby’s heart allowed doctors to practice and plan the usually-complicated surgery that saved the infant’s life.

A 3D-printed heart has helped to save the life of a two-week-old baby, who was being treated at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in Manhattan for congenital heart defects (CHD).

The near-perfect replica wasn’t used for a transplant, but rather to help doctors practice the extremely difficult procedure that helped save the baby’s life.

The infant was suffering from abnormalities such as holes and unusually formed chambers, which can be corrected with surgery - but until doctors actually cut a patient open, they don’t know exactly what they’re dealing with, so these operations are extremely complex and risky.

Using this model, the team was able to plan out the operation in advance and even practice it.

Dr Emile Bach, the head of cardiac surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, explained, “The baby’s heart had holes, which are not uncommon with CHD, but the heart chambers were also in an unusual formation, rather like a maze. In the past we had to stop the heart and look inside to see what to do. With this technique, it was like we had a road map to guide us. We were able to repair the baby’s heart with one operation.”

With the help of the 3D printed model and practice in advance, Dr Bach was able to fix the baby’s heart in just one operation.

This isn’t the first time 3D printing has helped doctors out - last month doctors used a 3D printed brain to help practice the surgery that would save an infant’s life.

If these two cases are anything to go by, it’s clear that 3D printing is going to play a huge role in helping doctors perform more accurate and successful surgeries in the future.
